Other research Different Universities are developing FEM models of the middle ear. The following universities are currently conducting research: The Univeristy of Dundee, Biomedical Engineering, Hearing Research, is creating a FEM model of the middle ear. At the Tohoku University Prof. H. Wada is doing research on three-dimensional finite element method (FEM) analysis of the middle ear.
